Ode to snot

Friday, December 21, 2007

I hate snot, with a deep burning passion. It would be one thing if it was just coming out of my nose, because, while gross, that tends not to be painful. But the running down the back of my throat and making it feel like a big raw open sore? (hope you didn't just eat breakfast) That is just so not necessary.

It's the most freaking wonderful time of the year.

Thanks for de-lurking. I love your blog!! I am obsessed with medical stuff and find your story fascinating. (yeah, I know, easy for me to say cuz I'm not living it)

My husband had a radical laminectoy of the lower half of his back several years ago (14" incision) and a tumor pf the parotid gland removed which paralyzed the left half of his face.

I have watched him go through alot and have always been so impressed with his strength.

Just reading a bit of you blog shows me that you are the same type of strong person.

You and John should compare scars!!!

I'll be back!

Hehehe...I'm at work, the only person here, listening to the radio station that plays All Christmas Music All The Time. As I am reading your Ode to Snot, guess what song was playing...

"It's The Most Wonderful (Freakin') Time of the Year"

Serious! I truly am amused by the small things in life, because I loved it. :) Unlike the post-nasal-drip-that-burns-like-acid. Not so much on the loving of that. Do your ears hurt yet? Because ya know they will. I'm just sayin...
