that keeps hitting my comment section, but I found my wedding dress today, so it takes a lot more than an obnoxious spammer to get me down.

Oh. My. God. I'm getting married.

Ooooohhhhh, Katie!!!! I'm so excited for you, but I wanna see it!!!! You are going to be such a beautiful bride...I'm trying to picture what kind of dress you would choose. I have you figured as the classic Vera Wang-typa gal, but I could also see you in lace. OMG, YOU'RE GETTING MARRIED!!!!!

Ya know, I was never one of those little girls that dreamed about her wedding...NEVER. When it came time for my wedding, the utmost thing in my mind was that it was the one day that was JUST for us...every other day was about family and the kids and such...but I wanted the wedding private. And, to me, it was beautiful and magical one of the most emotional days of my life. But, YOUR "big shindig" wedding? I am SO excited for you, and I want all the details if you care to share them. Heck, I'd even give you an opinion or two if you asked. I know, what a friend...HAHAHAHA! Just joking about the opinion. Anything else, I wanna know! It'll all happen so fast and, first and foremost, I SO HOPE that you will be able to have a joyful, magical time in the planning process as well as The Big Day itself. Don't let anybody or anything take that from you...

Short veil? Long veil? No veil?

Hi Katie,
I'm so excited that you found a dress.... and it sounds like this is what finally brought it home for you that you're getting married! How exciting for you! I wore my mom's wedding dress, had to get it cleaned and altered and oh yes, there was a nice split down the armpit when I raised my arm to light the unitity candle... but still, so worth it to see the pictures (my mom died before) of her in the dress and me in the dress. Perhaps one day you'll have those memories with your daughter as well? But that's years and years down the road. In the meantime, I'm happy for you and hang in there, girl!

Edited to add - I really CAN spell the word "unity" I guess I got a little carried away and should have done more proof reading - sorry!
